Ben Plumley

He is lucky to live in California's Bay Area, one of the most
beautiful and creative places on the entire planet. Between 2010 and 2017,
he was the CEO of the Global Health Technical Assistance and Policy Think Tank,
Pangaea.   As well as non-profits, he has extensive public and private sector
experience, having been Global Public Health Manager at Chevron,
Vice President of Access at Johnson & Johnson, Director of the Executive Office
at UNAIDS, and the founding Executive Director of the Global Business Coalition
on HIV/AIDS
.

He also has wide Board experience, including Secretary of the Californian Prevention Education Project in Oakland, ICASO,  AIDS Care China and from 2010 to 2017, Board Member of the International Treatment Preparedness Coalition.

Hunuvat does not make corporate political contributions. However, for complete transparency, in his personal capacity, Ben is a member of the Barbara Lee for Congress Executive Finance Committee, and actively supports progressive candidates in the Bay Area and across the USA, including Congressman TJ Cox (District 21), Georgia House Congressman Sam Park, Virginia House Delegate Danica Roem, and Stacey Abram’s campaign 2018 for Governor of Georgia and her new voting rights campaign, FairFightAction.com.

Ben was educated at Churchill College, Cambridge University in the United Kingdom.

Ben's other interests include the literature (and particularly the essays) of Aldous Huxley (perhaps the greatest essayist of the 20th century), as well as the genre of speculative fiction - particularly Margaret Atwood (definitely the best English-language writer of our era). And, to the alarm of many of his friends,  he is passionate about 80s and 90s British and Swedish electronic pop music, particularly the Pet Shop Boys and anything by Alexander Bard.
